Simply aim the thermometer at the target and press the Meas. key ( 9 ) to display the surface
temperature.
The Distance:Spot is 11:1. Please make sure the target area is within the field
of view.
Functions
Press Emissivity key ( 1 ) to set the emissivity.
Press Emissivity key ( 1 ), then press Up key ( 4 ) or Down key ( 2 ) to adjust the emissivity, then press Mode key ( 5 ) to set it. The emissivity can be
changed from .10 (10E) to 1.00 (100E).

** The thermometer will automatically shut off if left idle for more then 60 seconds, unless in PRB mode. (In PRB mode, it will shut off if left idle for 12 minutes).
In MAX, MIN, DIF,
AVG mode:
Press Up key ( 4 ) to turn LOCK mode ON/OFF. The lock mode is particularly useful for continuous monitoring of temperatures for up to 60
minutes.
Press Down key ( 2 ) to switch from °F/°C.
In all modes: First
Press the Meas
key and hold:
Then press Up key ( 4 ) for backlight function ON/OFF.
Then press Down key ( 2 ) for laser function ON/OFF.
CAUTION
1. WHEN DEVICE IS IN USE, DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE LASER BEAM-PERMANENT EYE DAMAGE MAY RESULT.
2. USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN OPERATING THE LASER.
3. NEVER POINT THE UNIT TOWARDS ANYONE’S EYES.
4. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF ALL CHILDREN.
STORAGE & CLEANING
The sensor lens is the most delicate part of the thermometer. The lens should be kept clean at all times, care should be taken when cleaning the lens using only a soft cloth or cotton
swab with water or medical alcohol. Allow the lens to fully dry before using the thermometer. Do not submerge any part of the thermometer. The thermometer should be stored at
room temperature between 4°F to 149°F (-15° to +65°C).
LCD ERROR MESSAGE
The thermometer incorporates visual diagnostic messages as follows:
‘Hi’ or ‘Lo’ is displayed when the temperature being measured is outside of the settings of HAL and LAL.
For all other error messages it is necessary to reset the thermometer. To reset it, turn the instrument off, remove the battery and wait for a minimum of one
minute, reinsert the battery and turn on. If the error message remains please contact the Customer Service Department for further assistance.

Here will show the emissivity value. (The default emissivity is 0.95.)
Press Mode key ( 5 ) for the Maximum (MAX), Minimum (MIN), Difference between MAX and MIN (DIF) and Average (AVG) values. During the
measurement, the value will be displayed beside the mode icon.
Press Up key ( 4 ) or Down key ( 2 ) to change the High Alarm (HAL) or Lo Alarm (LAL), then press Meas. key ( 9 ) to confirm it. For example:
When the reading 80.6°F < LAL 80.7°F, the Low icon will flash and you will hear a beep.
Connect a Type K thermocouple to thermocouple jack ( 10 ). The thermometer will display the temperature automatically without pressing any button.
To see the minimum or maximum values during measurement, press the Up key ( 4 ) for max or Down key ( 2 ) for min.
After measuring a high temp, the probe may remain HOT for a while.

When the ‘Low Battery' icon indicates the battery is low, the battery should be replaced immediately with AAA, 1.5V batteries. Please note: It is important to be sure unit is off
before replacing the batteries otherwise the thermometer may malfunction.
Dispose of used batteries properly and keep away from children.

Simplemente dirija el termómetro hacia el objetivo y pulse la tecla de medición ( 9 ), con lo

Pulsando la tecla Subir ( 4 ) o la tecla Bajar ( 2 ) puede modificarse la Alarma Alta (HAL) o la Alarma Baja (LAL), luego pulse la tecla Medir para
confirmar. Por ejemplo: cuando la lectura sea de 80,6°F < LAL 80,7°F, destellará el icono Baja (Low) y se escuchará un tono de corta duración (beep).
Conecte una termocupla Tipo K al conector para termocupla ( 10 ). El termómetro indicará automáticamente la temperatura sin que se pulse ningún
botón. Para ver los valores mínimo o máximo durante la medición, pulse la tecla Subir ( 4 ) para el máximo o la tecla Bajar ( 2 ) para ver el mínimo.
Luego de medir una temperatura elevada, la sonda permanecerá caliente durante un rato.

Pulsando la tecla Modo ( 5 ) podrán observarse más funciones de la pantalla, de la manera siguiente.
En el modo MAX, MIN,
DIF,AVG:
Pulsando la tecla Subir ( 4 ) se puede activar o desactivar (ON/OFF) el modo de BLOQUEO (LOCK). El modo de bloqueo
es de particular utilidad para el monitoreo continuo de temperaturas durante un lapso de hasta 60 minutos.
Pulsando la tecla Bajar ( 2 ) se cambia entre °C/°F.
En todos los modos: Primero
pulse la tecla Meas
